Ingredients
- 1/2 cup daliya
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon coffee
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 2-3 drops of vanilla essence
- a pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- Roasted and chopped almonds
Method
- Heat the water and milk together. Add the coffee and cocoa powder, sugar, a pinch of salt and vanilla essence. Stir.
- After the mixture comes to a boil, add the daliya.
- Cover and cook for at least 15-20 minutes or until the daliya absorbs all the liquid.
- Let this sit for a couple of hours. This will help the daliya absorb the flavours of coffee and chocolate.
- After 2-3 hours, serve either hot or cold with your choice of fruits as topping. Garnish with roasted and chopped almonds.
Notes:
- Add nutella to it to add a hazelnut flavor.
- Quantity of milk can be increased or decreased depending on how creamy you want it to be.
- Add all seasonal fruits to it to make it more healthy.
